Philip has worked in architecture and urban design for 35 years in Australia, the US and UK.
He was a Director of Cox Architecture between 1992 and 2017, directing residential and master planning projects. He subsequently joined the Greater Sydney Commission as Director, Western Sydney City Deal involved in the planning and design of the Western Sydney Aerotropolis precincts, and the Western Parkland City. He recently completed a PhD  at the City Futures Research Centre at the UNSW, examining the role of urban design in metropolitan planning. He is a Principal Consultant to Cox Architecture and member of  Government Architect NSW State Design Review Panel.
